We’re excited  to announce a partnership between the Microfinance Learning & Development Centre (MLDC) and Talstack.

This collaboration comes at a pivotal moment as the Nigerian microfinance sector celebrates 20 years since its formal inception in 2005. Through this collaboration, we will be rolling out specialized digital courses in areas critical to the sector, including compliance, risk management, credit and lending, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency.

These programs are designed to make training more accessible and affordable for every professional in Nigeria’s microfinance space.

Why This Matters

For too long, capacity development in the microfinance sector has been constrained by cost, logistics, and access. Till date, many professionals have to travel long distances to attend workshops, while institutions struggle to balance training budgets with operational demands.

These challenges have slowed the sector’s growth, affecting ROI, regulatory compliance, and ultimately the sector's contribution to advancing financial inclusion in Nigeria.

With this partnership, we will surmount those barriers. By moving learning online, and making it on-demand,  we’re ensuring that every professional in Nigeria’s microfinance sector can access affordable and compliant training—anytime, anywhere.

At Talstack, our mission is to elevate the quality of Africa’s workforce. This partnership with MLDC takes us one step closer by equipping professionals with the tools they need to learn, grow, and deliver impact.

What Participating Institutions Gain

  • Cost-Effective Scalability: Reduce training expenses by up to 50% through flexible course bundles tailored to the sector, allowing institutions to reinvest in core operations.
