This issue of People First was sent on 30 April 2026. Product details reflect what was true at the time.

I hope your month is off to a great start! April was a busy and exciting month for us at Talstack. We spent time with HR and People leaders in Accra, continued building major improvements to our performance management solution, launched a new ESG learning track with our partners, and added new courses to help teams build stronger legal, compliance, and IT support capabilities.

Let's get into what's new!

Back From Accra!

This April, we hosted the first edition of our Senior HR & People Leadership Mixer in Accra. It was an intimate evening of networking, honest conversations, and practical reflections on some of the biggest themes shaping HR and People teams today.

Accra was warm, honest, and energizing. We'll definitely be doing this again soon.

Platform preview

At the start of the year, we shared that one of our priorities for 2026 was to keep improving the Talstack platform and building tools that make people and performance management easier for organizations. This month, we're excited to share a preview of some of the improvements we've been working on.

A More Connected Product Experience

Talstack employee profile

We're improving the way key modules work together across Talstack.

Performance Reviews will connect more directly with:

  • Goals: View employee goals and progress during reviews.
  • Previous Reviews: Reference past performance cycles.
  • Feedback: See feedback given to and by an employee.
  • Learning: Review course progress and learning activity.

This means managers will be able to evaluate employees in one place with fuller context.

New Features in Development

We're also working on two new modules to support broader people management needs.

Talstack Time Off

Leave Management
Employees will be able to request time off, track leave balances, and view their request history. Managers and admins will be able to approve or decline requests, configure leave policies, monitor team leave calendars, and track leave usage.

Employee Engagement Surveys
We're building a survey module to help organizations understand employee sentiment and improve workplace culture. Teams will be able to create pulse surveys, collect responses, view reporting dashboards, and identify areas for improvement.

We are also making enhancements to other modules on the platform. We're excited about these updates and we'll share more as they become available.

New ESG Learning Track with BII and Ventures Platform

Together with British International Investment (BII) and Ventures Platform, we have just launched an important ESG learning track. This learning track was created to address common ESG and business integrity challenges.

ESG learning track courses

The learning track includes:

  • HR and People Management
  • Supply Chain Risk Management
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption
  • Respectful Workplaces

The programme is hosted on the Talstack platform and is available to all Talstack users today. We're proud to support this collaboration and contribute to stronger ESG capacity across organizations in Africa.

New Legal and IT Support Learning Tracks

We've added new courses across Legal and IT Support to help teams build practical, workplace-ready skills.

These courses are designed to help professionals better understand legal, regulatory, and business risks and to help employees and IT teams support safer digital operations at work. They include:

  • Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing
  • Intellectual Property as a Strategic Asset
  • Protect Data and Implement Backup and Recovery Processes
  • Respond to Cybersecurity Threats with Awareness and First Action

You can explore these new courses directly on the Talstack platform.

Thank you for being a vital part of the Talstack journey. As always, if you have any feedback or need support, our team is just a message away.

Warmly,
Seni Sulyman
Co-Founder and CEO, Talstack
